Why a small catalogue

Most online pet shops work by listing everything and letting you sort it out. Search “dog harness” and you get four hundred results, most of them the same product under different names, and no way to tell which one will still be intact in six months.

We went the other way. Six categories, twelve products, one option in each place where an option is genuinely needed. It means we can tell you what a thing is actually made of, what it weighs, what it is rated to, and — just as usefully — who it is not right for. Our harness listing tells you it will not fix pulling on its own. Our carrier listing tells you twenty pounds is the honest limit. That is not modesty; it is the only way a short catalogue works.

How we choose what to carry

Every product goes through the same four questions before we will stock it:

• Does the material match the job? Solid memory foam rather than shredded offcuts. Welded steel hardware rather than cast zinc. Stoneware rather than moulded plastic. The cheap version of each of these exists and we have handled all of them.
• Does it survive real use? Not a showroom week — a season of mud, salt, chewing, washing and a dog that leans into everything.
• Can it be cleaned? If a cover does not come off, or a bowl cannot go in a dishwasher, or a toy cannot be taken apart, it does not make the list.
• Can we describe it honestly? If the only way to sell something is to overstate it, we do not stock it.

How we operate

AccessPet is the pet accessories brand of MAKERS UNITY LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company. We hold stock in a United States fulfilment warehouse and ship domestically — orders placed before 2:00 PM Mountain Time go out the same business day, and most arrive in three to five.

Support is email and phone, run by people who have the product catalogue in front of them. If you write to us about sizing, you will get a measuring answer rather than a link back to the page you were already on.
